Electricity prices (OKTE / OTE)

⚠️ jkbms.sk does not provide, store or relay any electricity price data. We hold no licence to distribute OKTE or OTE data. To use spot prices you have to register yourself with the market operator and sign your own data usage agreement with it.

Why your own agreement

OKTE, a.s. (Slovakia) provides its day-ahead market data only under a data usage agreement. Licence A for your own use is free of charge; licences B and C (publishing and redistribution) are paid.
OTE, a.s. (Czechia) does not allow its data to be redistributed without written consent. Please check the terms of use with OTE directly.
So we must not pass the data on. Every user uses it under their own agreement, and their device downloads it straight from the market operator.

How to switch prices on

Slovakia: register on the EDC portal edc.okte.sk and apply for licence A (own use).
Czechia: contact OTE (www.ote-cr.cz) and ask for an agreement or consent to use the data.
In the gateway: dashboard → ☰ → Web server settings → Spot electricity prices: switch prices on, pick the market and tick “I have a data usage agreement with OKTE” or “I have an agreement or consent from OTE to use the data”.
In Home Assistant: Settings → Devices & services → the gateway integration → Configure → Electricity prices: the same choices, plus fees and VAT.

Prices are off by default. Without the agreement ticked for the chosen market they cannot be switched on and nothing is downloaded. By ticking it you confirm that you have the agreement; you are responsible for keeping to its terms. Please do not send us the details of your agreement.

Where the data goes

Straight from OKTE or OTE to your device: the gateway or Home Assistant. It never passes through jkbms.sk.
OKTE / OTE receive only the date and the application name (EnergyGateway from the gateway, EnergyGateway-HA from Home Assistant). As with any internet connection, they also see your household's public IP address.
No battery or inverter data, serial numbers, licence or e-mail are sent.
jkbms.sk knows nothing about these requests and receives no data from them.
